Watch the splendid wildlife amidst sheer natural beauty. The park offers the last population of the Asiatic Lions that makes it a distinct place to visit. Other attraction of the park includes Sambhar, Nilgai, Chinkara and a variety of other wild species. The park is also rich in bird life and Bonelli's Eagle, Crested Serpent Eagle, painted Sand Grouse, Bush Quail and Grey Partridge are among the variety that is found here.

Located on the bend of the river Macchu, it is rightly named as Wankaner or 'on the bend of the river'. It enjoys a unique location and offers a respite from the tumult of daily life. The major attraction of the town includes an impressive palace that dates back to the ancient past. The most striking aspect of the palace is the large clock tower, which rises at the top of the building, marking its midpoint.

Visit Naulakha Palace, was built by thakur Saheb Sangramsinghji in the 17th century.The Palace is an absolute festival of stone carvings which can be seen on the facades,pillars,courtyards and jarokhas

An ancient fortified city rich in myth and legend, Junagarh lies at the foot of Girnar Hill and takes its name from the Old Fort which circles the medieval town.The antiquities ofJunagarh go abck to the times of the Emperor Ashoka (250 b.C.) whose fourteen rock edicts can be seen cut into a great rock outside the city.

Orchard Palace
The fascinating old town of Gondal, in the heart of Gujarat, was the capital of one of the most progressive princely states during the British period. The palaces here have been taken over by Heritage Hotels. the Orchard Palace, with only seven double rooms, is set in gardens and overlooks mango and lime groves. For total seclusion, the royal railway saloon carriage in the grounds of the Palace provides a suite comprising of a diningroom, drawingroom and bedroom, all three beautifully finished with inlaid wood, crystal-light fittings and intricate carved wood furnishings.
Riverside Palace
Built in 1875 AD by Maharajah Bhagwat Sinhji for his son, the Riverside Palace is set in the lawns and gardens beside the river Gondali. There are 11 bedrooms- all spacious and high ceilinged and lavishly appointed with elegant furniture. It is full of miniature and oil paintings, historic photographs, prints, embroidered wall pieces, antique furniture and brassware.
The old walled city of Bhuj is the most important town is the area. The oldest museum in Gujarat is located in Bhuj. Recently it was in news due to the devastating earthquake that has caused major harm to its historical monuments.

Various domestic airlines are available connecting Ahmedabad and Bombay. Direct trains between Bhuj-Ahmedabad on meter gauge line and for Bombay on the broad gauge line from Gandhidham. Bhuj is connected by State highway upto Bhachau (85 Kms.) and from Bhachau to Ahmedabad by national highway No. 8A (310 Kms.).
Rajkot was once the capital of the princely state of Saurashtra. Today it is best known as the town where Mahatma Gandhi spent the early years of his life when his father was a Diwan or Prime Minister to the king of Saurashtra.
