Experience the wilderness of the wilds nestled in the picturesque valley of the Aravallis. A natural habitat, the Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary offers a unique opportunity to see a variety of animals such as sambhar, cheetal, nilgai, four-horned antelope, wild boar and common lungur. There's also found a variance in the species of birds too such as grey and black colored partridges, peacock, red spurfowl, qualis and various colored pigeons.

Major Attractions:
Bharathihari & Tal Variksha: Bharathihari is a pilgrim place dedicated to the king of Ujjain who mediated over here for years and finally taken Samadhi on the 8th Shukla Paksh of the Bhadon Month. Tal Variksha is believed to be the place where Rishi (saint) Mandawa mediated and acquired divine knowledge.

How to Reach:
There is a 37-km jouney by bus to Sariska from Alwar. For a proper tour of the sanctuary Gypsy jeeps are available for hire in Sariska.

Best time to visit:
The best time to visit this place is between the months of October and March.
