Day 01 : Dehi/Haridwar/Rishikesh
Morning drive to Rishikesh (224 kms / 5-6 hrs) enroute visit Haridwar

Haridwar is considered very holy, as this is the point from where the Ganges emerges from the Himalayas to begin its slow progress across the plains. The main ghat 'Har ki Pauri' (the footsteps of God) is suppose to be the precise spot where the Ganges leaves the mountains and enters the plains. Consequently the river's power to wash away sins at this spot is superlative and endorsed by a footprint of Vishnu left on a stone here.

Upon arrival, check into Glass House on the Ganges

GLASS HOUSE ON THE GANGES - Once a private garden-retreat of the Maharajas of Tehri Garhwal, it is set in a litchi orchard with a garden of tropical plants, rare birds & butterflies. Moreover, this location is considered auspicious since it is the only place where the Ganges flows towards the north. The property offers relaxed atmosphere replete with leisure, reading, log fires and barbecue near the banks of the river.

DELHI-SHIMLA (3 DAYS)
The British empire may have ceased to exist, but its echoes linger on in Shimla. As the 'summer capital' of the British in India, this was the country's focus for the better part of every year and now, it is the state capital of Himachal Pradesh. Today, its well developed facilities, easy accessibility and numerous attractions make it one of India's most popular hill resorts. Placed in the lower ranges of the Himalaya mountains, it is surrounded by pine, deodar, oak and rhododendron forests. Towards the north lie the snow-covered high ranges. Within the town are a host of splendid colonial edifices, quaint cottages and charming walks.

Day 01 : Delhi / Shimla
Morning drive to Shimla (370 kms)
Upon arrival in Shimla - check into hotel
Rest of the day to stroll in the Mall, where you can find various handicrafts, wood and metal work, shawls, pullovers, local tweed, Tibetan carpets and pickles, etc.
Overnight at hotel

Day 02 : Shimla
After breakfast, drive to Kulfri (16 kms).
At 2501 m, this is famous for its wide views and ski slopes, An enjoyable walk leads up to the Mahasu Peak.
Return to Shimla.

Day 03 : Shimla / Delhi
Morning at leisure.

Afternoon drive back to Delhi.
